We encourage you to review our accessibility information below to plan your visit beforehand. Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition as they are. All the venues are free of all kinds of discrimination. 




Galleria G

Galleria G is located in Helsinki city centre. The entrance to the gallery is somewhat inaccessible: The entrance has a small staircase of three individual steps. However, wheelchair users can visit the gallery if assisted inside. The doorway is somewhat narrow, but can fit most wheelchairs and baby carriages. The gallery space is accessible, there are no thresholds and the WC is wheelchair accessible.

Service dogs are welcome. There are no assistive listening receivers available. Portable chairs are available for resting.

The gallery staff can help you in Finnish, English and Swedish.



Galleria Sculptor

Galleria Sculptor is located near the market square in Helsinki city centre. Accessibility to the gallery is somewhat limited due to a small staircase by the main entrance. There are four steps from the outside to the galley space as well as smaller steps inside the gallery. For wheelchair users there is a portable ramp available which can help access the gallery. The ramp can also be used inside. The ramp should be used with the help of at least one escort. There is no fully accessible WC.

Wheelchair accessible taxis may be parked by the road in front of the gallery by Eteläranta 12. Service dogs are welcome. There are no assistive listening receivers available. Hippolyte is located in an idyllic inner courtyard in Helsinki city centre. The Gallery has two exhibition spaces, a bookshop and a reception area. Access to the larger exhibition space from the courtyard is barrier-free – and to the reception area via four steps up. There is a primarily accessible WC inside the Gallery.

The accessible entrance is through the Kunsthalle’s backyard. Turn to the backyard at Ainonakatu 3 (by the entrance to the Finnjävel restaurant), and you will find the entrance and a doorbell at the far end. Please take the elevator up to the second-floor galleries, which are completely accessible. Assistance dogs are most welcome. Unfortunately, neither the lobby nor Kioski shop are fully accessible. Please consult the staff.

Accessibility: The venue is located in Helsinki city centre. If you are physically challenged, the gallery staff will gladly help you. Unfortunately, the doors do not have electric push-buttons due to the building’s old age. There are chairs available for resting during your visit. There is no unobstructed WC available, the WC is inaccessible with a wheelchair.

The entrance has a 6,5 cm high doorstep. The width of the door is 75 cm. If needed, the double doors of the main entrance can be opened. You may call the gallery for assistance: 044 722 0731.
